Tyler's Baptism

Tyler was Baptized today...He wore the same Baptismal gown that his daddy wore. It has been in the family for over 100 years and was worn by Ty's great great grandfather. It was a beautiful ceremony celebrated with friends and family. We were so blessed to have 2 priests and a subdeacon for the Sacraments. It was Father Theodore's first Baptism and Confirmation in the Maronite church. He was recently ordained as a bi-ritual priest for both the Maronite and Roman Catholic churches.

Tyler was entranced with the whole ceremony.

Ty fussed just enough not to get pinched :).

This is the only time in his life he will receive this anointing oil, unless he chooses to become a priest.

After the ceremony we lit the Baptismal candle and processed around the church.

After the Sacraments Father Theodore took Tyler up onto the altar.

Ty conked out right after receiving his Sacraments. Not too bad for skipping his 9:00 nap.

Trip to Seattle

We took a trip up to Seattle to visit the Toppenbergs. This is us with our beautiful Goddaughter Reilly and her new baby sister Iverson Faith.

We met sweet baby Ivy for the first time. Reilly is such a great big sister.

Ty loved all of the colors and new toys to play with at Kelsey and Tony's.

Reilly was so helpful with Tyler's bath. Ted successfully dodged the "what is that" question :).

Tyler's first trip to the beach...

Yeah!! We made it to the beach. Tyler did really well on the car ride down. The weather was a little cooler than back home so mommy wrapped him up in her jacket.

Baby's first time on the beach...it didn't take long for him to be lulled to sleep by the sound of the crashing waves.

It's our tradition to have hot chocolate out on the deck in the morning when we stay at the beach. Tyler enjoyed his first time with mom and dad. Sorry bud, still too young for your own cup. Thanks Kelsey for the cozy warm hat!!
